What we store

  • Your name and email address, and your date of birth if you add it
  • Your learning progress and app settings
  • If you sign in with Google: your Google account ID and name
  • The time you agreed to this policy

Why

To run your account and keep your progress, so you can continue on a new phone (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). If you add your date of birth, it helps us make sure the app fits your age.

Where

Your account and progress are stored with Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) on servers in Frankfurt, Germany. Google processes the data on our behalf.

Crash reports

If the app crashes, it sends a short technical report the next time it starts: the error, the app and Android version, the phone model and, if you have an account, your account ID. We use it only to fix bugs.

Feedback

After a few days the app asks once how you like it. If you answer, we receive your answer, anything you type, your languages, the app and Android version, the phone model and, if you have an account, your account ID. We use it only to improve the app.

Word photos and this website

Photos are loaded from our image storage at Cloudflare, and this website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any website, Cloudflare sees your IP address when a photo or page loads. This website uses no cookies and no tracking.

Google Play

If you install the app from Google Play, Google Play may show you a prompt to update the app or to rate it. These prompts come from Google; we receive no personal data from them.

How long

Until you delete your account. In the app, Account → Delete account removes your account and the progress saved in it right away. Progress on your phone stays until you reset or uninstall the app. You can also ask us to delete your account without the app.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it (in the app under Account), delete it, limit or object to its use, and take it with you. You can also complain to a data protection authority.

We don't sell your data and don't show ads.
